Designated space to be converted to a laboratory required the installation of a Dri-Floor seamless resinous flooring system.
Converting an empty space to a laboratory is more than just placing equipment into a room. For most laboratories, especially those dealing with medical devices, it is also important to ensure that the space is properly sealed to prevent any bacteria or mold growth. The finishing of choice must also be durable, chemical resistant & easily maintained
First, all cracks & all surface defects were repaired with Dri-Poxy EP 178, high performance epoxy patch repair mortar. The substrate was sanded and a layer of Dri-Floor EP 1000, solvent-free epoxy primer was applied. 2 body coats of Dri-Floor EP 1300, solvent-free epoxy floor coating, and 1-2 top coats of Dri-Floor UV 9000, UV-resistant aliphatic polyurethane coating were applied.
